How to Cancel Your Online-Therapy.com Subscription

There's no minimum commitment and no phone call required - cancellation is self-serve from your account. Here's exactly how it works, based on Online-Therapy.com's own FAQ.

Steps to cancel

  1. Log into your account and go to the subscription section.
  2. Within your subscription details, find the cancel option and click it.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm.

That's the whole process - no need to email support or wait for confirmation by phone, though you can always contact them directly if something doesn't look right.

You can cancel any time

Per their FAQ: "You can cancel your subscription at any time - there's no minimum commitment." Cancelling doesn't forfeit what you've already paid for: "you will still keep access to all of your remaining pre-paid days, so nothing goes to waste."

The pause option (instead of cancelling outright)

When you go through cancellation, you're also offered the choice to pause instead of ending the subscription completely:

This is worth considering if you just need a break rather than to stop altogether - for example, over a busy work period or travel.

Refunds

Refund requests are reviewed case-by-case by Online-Therapy.com together with your counselor, and must be made within 90 days of the charge date on your bank statement. They won't refund anything already used or delivered - completed or missed live sessions, sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or messaging/worksheet activity that's already taken place. The simplest way to avoid an unwanted charge is to cancel (or pause) before your next billing date rather than relying on a refund afterward.
